Life Before Acara: A Journey of Discovery and Growth 

Growing up in the picturesque city of Greensboro, NC, my childhood was filled with adventures in the mountains, along the coast, and within the vibrant communities of the Research Triangle. After completing my undergraduate studies at Western Carolina University, where I pursued dual degrees in Education and Music, I embarked on a journey of academic exploration that led me to the University at Buffalo. There, I delved into the intricacies of Musicology, emerging with a Master’s degree and a profound appreciation for the history of music. 

Upon completing my education, I found myself at a crossroads, grappling with the realization that the traditional path of academia might not align with my aspirations for a balanced work-life dynamic. Reflecting on my experiences teaching music to K-5 students and leading marching bands, I recognized the invaluable lessons in patience and multitasking that shaped my approach to work. Moreover, the rigorous demands of research and thesis writing during my graduate studies honed my ability to adapt to new challenges by seeking out resources and innovative solutions. 

Life At Acara 

My journey eventually led me to discover Acara Solutions, where the role of Staffing Coordinator seemed like a promising opportunity. Despite the disparity between my previous roles and the responsibilities at Acara, I was drawn to the role for professional growth and a supportive work environment. 

Transitioning into the role of Regional Operations Lead, my days are now filled with diverse tasks aimed at supporting our payroll and onboarding teams for top clients. From identifying onboarding trends to ensuring the accuracy of assignment records, my role is dynamic and demanding, yet immensely rewarding. 

Life at Acara is a departure from my previous professional experiences, marked by the independence to focus deeply on tasks and contribute to process efficiency and improvement. Collaborating with colleagues has been instrumental in my journey, fostering an environment where ideas are valued and contributions recognized. 

The ever-evolving talent and staffing industry present both challenges and opportunities, with remote work emerging as a prominent trend. At Acara, we embrace change and innovation, staying ahead of the curve to meet the evolving needs of our clients and workforce. 

Life Outside of Acara 

Beyond the office walls, I find solace in the simple pleasures of life—savoring a morning latte with my cat Betty by my side, indulging in thrift store adventures, and relishing quality time with loved ones. Music remains a passion that transcends professional boundaries, as I continue to teach French horn lessons and drag friends out for karaoke nights. 

As I navigate the intricacies of work and life, Acara stands as a beacon of support and flexibility, embodying the values of understanding and collaboration. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, reaffirming my belief in the transformative power of perseverance and adaptability. 

In a world of constant flux, Acara remains a steadfast companion on my journey of discovery and self-realization—a testament to the enduring spirit of innovation and camaraderie.
