Nigel Hapuarachchi Receives Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) 40 Under 40 Award

Acara Solutions VP of Business Development and Delivery Nigel Hapuarachchi earned the esteemed honor of making the Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) 2024 40 Under 40 list! This is the eighth year SIA has published the list recognizing early-career professionals who are making major contributions within the staffing and workforce solutions ecosystem. 

Nigel joined Acara in 2019 and has been instrumental in growing the business in Canada, as well as the United States. He is a trusted advisor to Acara’s clients in many industries, helping them solve a broad range of workforce and talent acquisition challenges. He also serves as a mentor to his colleagues and staff, providing them with the support, learning, and development opportunities they need to succeed.

Nigel is a natural collaborator and connector and is an invaluable member of our team. He also serves on Aleron’s DEIB Committee. Nigel was also nominated for Business Person of the Year by the Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) and Acara has also been nominated for MBOT’s Inclusive Employer of the Year Award. Under his leadership, Acara has been recognized as a Top 10 IT Staffing Firm in Mississauga by TrustAnalytica.  

Nigel has participated in numerous speaking engagements on talent acquisition and job seeker best practices at Dale Carnegie Training, the Toronto Public Library, the Centre for Education and Training in Mississauga, and the City of Mississauga Economic Development Office. He also regularly contributes to Acara’s blog and has provided thought leadership content to our partners and clients.  

Nigel has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service through various impactful initiatives. He has been actively involved with StepStones for Youth, an organization that supports youth in foster care with mentorship and sponsorship. In addition, Nigel has partnered annually with Operation Head2Toe to fundraise, assemble, and deliver care packages to individuals experiencing homelessness in Toronto. His philanthropic efforts extend internationally through his partnership with the Keeping Kids in School Foundation, where he helped build a school in the Mexican village of Cristo Rey. He had also partnered with Dress for Success to run successful clothing drives and collaborated with eFresh Meals to deliver chef-prepared meals to frontline workers during the pandemic. His dedication to these causes highlights his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

SIA’s 40 Under 40 listing for this year is now available online along with a feature in the July/August 2024 issue of Staffing Industry Review magazine. The 2024 honorees will be formally recognized during SIA’s Collaboration in the Gig Economy conference taking place this Sept. 17-19 in Dallas.
